《寄生虫》成第92届奥斯卡最大赢家

 

在刚结束的第92届奥斯卡颁奖典礼上，《寄生虫》共获得了最佳原创剧本、最佳导演、最佳国际电影（原最佳外语影片）以及最佳影片四项重量级大奖。

《寄生虫》不但众望所归拿下大奖，还创造了历史：不但是韩国电影第一次获得奥斯卡，更成为自奥斯卡创办以来第一部获得最佳影片的非英语影片！

Bong Joon Ho’s acclaimed thriller Parasite scored big early in the Academy Awards ceremony Sunday night, winning in the best original screenplay category. The triumph marked the first time a South Korean film had won an Oscar in any category.

周日晚，由奉俊昊执导的惊悚片《寄生虫》在奥斯卡颁奖典礼上大获成功，斩获最佳原创剧本奖。这是韩国电影第一次获得奥斯卡奖。

Parasite was the eleventh film not in English to be nominated for best picture, and the sixth to be nominated for both international feature film and best picture in the same year. But each of the previous five (Z, 1969; Life Is Beautiful, 1998; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 2000; Amour, 2012; Roma, 2018) won only for foreign language film, losing out in the top category. That makes Parasite a landmark for how far a film featuring a non-white, non-English-speaking cast can climb within mainstream Hollywood.

Commercially, its success has been similarly astounding. Through Feb. 2, Parasite’s U.S. gross rested at $33.2 million, one of the best showings of all time for a foreign-language film. Globally, it has earned $163 million, making strong showings in many markets that are typically not nearly so receptive to subtitled Asian cinema.

The territory is home to more than 400,000 residents, and nearly half of it is at risk of “ember attack” and flames.

Peanuts are the most common food allergen in the US, with an increase in the number of those affected by food allergies across the West in recent decades.

While trials to desensitise patients with peanut allergies have previously taken place in the US and elsewhere, the drug is the first to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The drug has not yet been authorised for use in the UK.

Palforzia, which has been approved for use in patients aged between four and 17, comes in the form of a powder which is sprinkled on food.

Chinese firm Vivo surpassed Samsung to become the second biggest smartphone vendor in India in Q4 2019. Xiaomi, with command over 27% of the market, maintained its top spot in the nation for the tenth consecutive quarter.

Vivo’s annual smartphone shipment grew 76% in 2019. The Chinese firm’s aggressive positioning of its budget S series of smartphones - priced between $100 to $150 (the sweet spot in India) - in the brick and mortar market and acceptance of e-commerce sales helped it beat Samsung, said Counterpoint analysts.
