英国爱尔兰傻傻分不清楚！你能分得清吗？

说到近年来争议最大的一届总统，就非川普莫属了。

这个不按常理出牌，“推特治国”的奇特总统，最近又被网友“攻击”了一回。这回是因为他在一次演讲里完全混淆了英国不同部分地区的名称，网友表示看着都替他尴尬……

川普在演讲里的原话是这样的：

 

 

“I have great respect for the U.K., United Kingdom, great respect,” said Trump. “People call it Britain. They call it Great Britain. They used to call it England, different parts.”

特朗普说：我对英国（UK）很尊敬，特别尊敬。人们都称其为不列颠（Britain），大不列颠（Great Britian），之前也称其为英格兰（England），不同的部分。

 

然而这段演讲前，他才刚刚从英国回来……

 

 

 

 

看到这样的川普，网上的“雷锋”们都迫不及待地做起了科普：

 

 

 

Folks online were keen to point out that Great Britain consists of England, Scotland and Wales - and the United Kingdom is made up of those three countries, plus Northern Ireland. They also noted how the country of England is most definitely still called England, despite Trump's claim.

一众网友已经迫不及待的开始线上授课模式了！ 比如大不列颠包括英格兰、苏格兰和威尔士，而英国除了这三个地方还要再加上一个北爱尔兰。同时，不管特朗普咋说，那个该叫英格的地方，还叫英格兰。

 

 

然而，川普这种对英国地理稀里糊涂的表达已经不是第一次了，上个月《每日邮报》记者摩根曾在空军一号上对特朗普进行专访。那次就发生过如下对话：

 

 

MORGAN: The sceptic in me would say: What is the incentive for America to do a great deal with the United Kingdom?

摩根：我内心怀疑，美国和英国达成大交易的动机何在？

 

TRUMP: We would make a great deal with the United Kingdom because they have product that we like. I mean they have a lot of great product. They make phenomenal things, you know, and you have different names - you can say “England,” you can say “UK,” you can say “United Kingdom” so many different - you know you have, you have so many different names - Great Britain. I always say: "Which one do you prefer? Great Britain? You understand what I'm saying?"

特朗普：“我们会和英国达成个伟大的交易，因为他们有我们喜欢的产品。我的意思是英国有很多好东西。他们创造了非凡的东西，你知道，你们有很多不同的名字 —— 你可以叫做‘英格兰’，也可以叫‘英国’，很多名字的，大不列颠。我经常说，你更喜欢哪个？大不列颠吗？你知道我在说什么吗？”

 

MORGAN: You know Great Britain and the United Kingdom aren't exactly the same thing?

TRUMP: Right, yeah. You know I know, but a lot of people don't know that. But you have lots of different names. The fact is you make great product, you make great things. Even your farm product is so fantastic.

特朗普：是啊，我知道，但是很多人不知道啊，你们英国有很多不一样的名字。事实是，你们创造了伟大的产品，你们创造了伟大的东西。甚至连农产品都是如此的神奇。
