Male college students value the appearance of their partner a lot when seeking a romantic relationship, while female students pay attention to a wider range of factors, according to a survey.

 

研究表明，很多男大学生在寻找伴侣时最看重的就是对方的外表，而女大学生则会综合考虑很多因素。

 

Conducted jointly by education research company MyCOS and the education website of Tencent, the survey polled more than 8,000 college students nationwide and the findings were released as the Chinese Valentines’ Day, which falls on Aug 28 this year, approaches.

 

教育研究公司麦可思和腾讯教育网站联合进行了一项调查研究，其中来自全国的八千余名大学生针对该问卷进行投票，相关结果赶在今年临近8月28日的“七夕节”之前给予了公布。

 

According to the survey, 72 percent of the male students said how the other person looks is very important in deciding whether to ask a person out, while only 54 percent of the female students believe so.

 

研究表明，有72%的男大学生表示女生的颜值高低决定自己是否对对方展开追求，相比之下，只有54%的女大学生认为颜值是决定性条件。

 

In the eyes of most female students, intelligence, health, finance, family and educational backgrounds are of equal importance when selecting a person to date.

 

在很多女大学生的眼中，智力水平、健康水平、财力条件、家庭状况以及教育背景等才是选择伴侣的重要因素。

 

The survey also found that almost half of the students polled said they want to get into a relationship with a purpose of "pursuing true love". While 46 percent said they would like to be engaged in a relationship so that both can help each other in life and study.

 

研究还表明，在参与问卷的学生中，将近一半认为应该奔着“寻找真爱”的目的来谈恋爱，有46%的人认为应该全身心投入一段恋爱关系中，这样彼此可以在生活和学习中互相支持和帮助。

 

About seven out of 10 college students are currently single, and a major cause for that, they said, is their introverted character, according to the survey.

 

据研究显示，近70%的大学生目前都处于单身状态，他们认为造成自己单身的原因源于自身内向的性格。
