外国留学生眼中的两会

春暖花开又一年，举国关注的全国两会又要召开了。

 

今天必小编要介绍一个名叫《VIEWS ON CHINA》的系列小栏目，该栏目对就读于对外经贸大学的一些外国留学生做了小采访，考验一下他们对中国时事的了解程度。

 

1.  Why did you choose to study abroad, specifically in China?

你为什么会特意选择来中国留学呢？

 

Sophia: I really like China. That’s why I came here. And also I think I am in the center of the world right now. So I think I have a very great experience here.

我非常喜欢中国。这是我来这里的原因。我觉得自己现在处在整个世界的中心。我觉得在这里收获了一段非常棒的经历。

 

Issac: I chose China because of the economy growing in a fast pace. So I thought this would be the right place for me.

我选择中国是因为这里的经济在快速发展。我觉得我来对地方了。

 

 

 

2.  How have you found studying and living here in China?

你在中国学习和生活的感受如何？

 

Aminetta: So far it has been good. Well, awesome, really. Just a few challenges here and there. But as a whole, it has been awesome.

目前为止感觉不错。岂止是不错，真的很棒。只是难免有一些小小的挑战吧。但是总的来说很棒。

 

3.  Have you heard of the “Two Sessions” before? Do you know what they do?

你听说过两会吗？你了解它们吗？

 

Eric: Oh, yeah, I have heard it. I followed the news. Well, it is about the interests of the country and its development.

我听说过。我关注新闻。我觉得“两会”事关国家的利益和发展。

 

 

 

4.  Would you propose any other changes, to make your time here better?

为了提高你在中国的生活质量，你有什么提议吗？

 

Issac: I think the schedules (as well), they have to be fixed to accommodate the students, because most of the courses interfere with other courses, so it becomes really difficult for students to abide.

我觉得课程表也要（改革），需要调整一下，让它们能更好地服务于留学生，因为大部分课程相互之间会有干扰，对于留学生来说，选课真的有些困难。

 

So, what are the two sessions?

The two sessions are a special time of the year in China. They are the meetings of the National People’s Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference , which take place once a year.

所以，什么是两会呢？

两会是中国一年中的一个特殊时期。它们是全国人民代表大会和中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会的会议，每年举行一次。

 

Why are the two sessions important?

The people who attend the two sessions will make many big decisions for China, including making and changing laws and electing national leaders. These two sessions allow people to raise important issues facing our society and discuss possible solutions.

为什么两会如此重要？

参加“两会”的代表们会决定中国的重大国策，包括立法、修改法律和选举国家领导人等。“两会”让人民能够参政议政。

 

Every year, during the two sessions, our government will look back at its work in the past year and suggest new policies for the coming year.

每年“两会”期间，政府会回顾过去一年的工作，并对来年制定新政策提出建议。
