Grandma Hen took Chica-Chick to the farmers’ market.

母鸡奶奶带小鸡奇卡去农贸市场。

 

“Why don’t you get the ingredients for the guacamole

while I get some fruit,”

said Grandma Hen,

giving Chica-Chick the shopping list.

“我去买一些水果，购买鳄梨酱的任务就交给你啦。”

母鸡奶奶一边说，

一边把购物清单给了小鸡奇卡。

 

“Yes!” said Chica-Chick.

“好的！”小鸡奇卡说。

 

 

 

 

Chica-Chick walked to the vegetable stand.

小鸡奇卡走向蔬菜摊。

 

 

 

 

“One tomato,” she read.

She put a big, round tomato into her basket.

But she wasn’t sure it was big enough,

so she took two more.

“一个西红柿，”她念道。

她拿起一个又大又圆的西红柿放到篮子里。

但是她不确定一个是不是够吃，

所以她拿了2个。

 

 

 

 

“One onion,” read Chica-Chick.

She grabbed a medium-sized onion,

but she wasn’t sure it was the right size,

so she took two more.

“一个洋葱，”小鸡奇卡念道。

她抓起一个中等大小的洋葱，

但是她不确定大小是否合适，

所以她又拿了两个。

 

 

 

 

“One chilli,” she read.

She dropped a green chili into her basket.

But she worried it wouldn’t be hot enough,

so she took two more.

“一个辣椒，”她念道。

她把一只绿辣椒扔进篮子里。

但是她担心不够辣，

所以她拿了两个。

 

 

 

 

“Three avocados,” she read.

She chose three avocados.

She wasn’t sure they were ripe,

so she took six more!

“三个鳄梨，”她念道。

她选了三个鳄梨。

她不确定它们是否熟了，

所以她拿了六个！

 

 

 

 

When Grandma Hen saw the basket,

she said, “This will be enough to make guacamole for a big party!”

 “Yes! A guacamole party!” said Chica-Chick.

当母鸡奶奶看到篮子时,

她说, "这些鳄梨酱足以够一个盛大的派对!

“是的!一个鳄梨酱派对! ”小鸡奇卡说。
